Welcome to the Modern Foreign Languages Faculty

In the multicultural world in which we live today learning languages is increasingly important. The transferable skills that learning languages develops, most notably that of communication supports learning across the curriculum as well as building key life skills that all of our students need to become successful adults. All Outwood Academy Portland Students achieve well and enjoy languages with the support of our team of specialist French and Spanish teachers who deliver engaging and inspiring lessons. With enrichment opportunities including visits to France and Spain, students can experience the culture first hand and put their knowledge into practice.
